TC's Wedding Dinner

Just came back from TC's wedding dinner. 7 of us seated at the 10persons' table, 4 gals and 3 guys. However, these few devils manage to wallup every dishes squeacky clean. Our table had the most wine.

JY drank till his face blushed to apple red. KH & I drank the most but we are still able to make some sense. If not, i wont be writing now.

When we 'Yum Seng' with TC, to our amazement, the 4 gals in our table able to hold their voice for so loud and long till the other guess start clapping their hands. We are certainly making the environment warm and happening.

We having fun jokes all the way during the dinner. Seems like i havent have this kind of fun dinner for so long.

Death Note 2

With high expectation from Death Note 1 movies, i went to watch the 2nd sequel of it at Queensbay Mall.

I was abit disappointed with the storyline as the directory have altered the story to suit the audience and also to end the story in this sequel. Instead of L エル (Ken'ichi Matsuyama) lost in the mind games, Light 夜神月(Tatsuya Fujiwara) lost in the battle. Comparing these 2 character, i prefer L personality compare to Light.

But i am impressed with Rem レム animation. Very nice job indeed. I preferred Rem compare to Ryuk リューク in term of the drawing. However, Ryuk is much more smarter and cunning compare to the soft hearted Rem.

Queensbay Mall New Parking Ticket System

The new parking ticket system will be implemented today 1 February 2007. RM1 will be charged per entry. Pretty reasonable but one thing catch my attention is that customer is only given 20mins to exit once they paid up the RM1 at the automated ticketing payment machine.

I am not sure what is the logic behind this. Maybe it is a hint for another wave of ticket payment increment? Lets time reveal..

Japan Trip #1

Penang-Singapore-Bangkok-Osaka Journey

Synopsis:
I didnt sleep much last nite as i went to watch 生日快乐 nite movie and did last minute packing. Woke up around 5am to make sure everything is in order. Checked my mails, set my out of office reply, chat with my frens in US and listen to music.

My housemates bade me goodbye as i will only see them in 9months time. They are going to oversea for long term assignment.

BL & I checked in in Penang Airport around 08:30am. I met 3 colleagues from my company. 2 of them work together with me in same projects 3years ago. Happy for them as they are going to Chandler for 1 week assignment.

While waiting for boarding, BL re-assessed the daily plan for this trip. I was only playing with my camera and snapping photo.

As usual, SIA served the wrap-up food like crepe with meat. It is much better than what MAS can offer.

While in Changi airport, I snapped some photo of the kooi pond. Managed to snap 9 kooi in a pic.

We spent our time mostly in the iconnect area at the 3rd flr to connect to internet. What else we can do to waste 7hrs while waiting for the next connecting flight. I read news, msg friends and did my office work. I let BL use my laptop as his laptop's having 'blue screen' sickness. So i walked around and get some water from the water dispenser.
I saw this shop at Changi Airport at the 3rd floor near the i-connect that really have a catchy sign board. My mind having a wild though after reading the sign board. Maybe there are shops like YOUR HEAD psychology, or YOUR ASS slimming centre.. Who knows. World is full of unexpected things.
We reached Bangkok International Airport around 21:30. The airport seems like just having renovation. Certainly i feel, this airport is much better than KLIA.But one thing for sure. You wont want to drink the water from the water dispenser. You can try it if you eager to know the reason. I think you are smart enough to know the answer. We continue our journey to Kansai for 6hrs. I was sitting alone comfortly on the 3 seats-right side of the plane. I manage to watch 2 movies and listen to few musics.

Once the plane landed and docked to the tarmac, all the passenger take their luggages from the overhead compartment. I was the only one wearing thin T-shirt. Seems like every 'EYES' are pointing at my direction like a sharp shooter aiming at enemy. One of the Japanese passenger asked and uttered something to me. Something like "anata samui desu ka?". I dont know how to reply to her but we use sign language, trying hard to tell her that i left my jacket in my check in luggage. By this time, i still feeling warm from my 2 glasses of red wine.

As we walk out the plane, the chilling effect slowly creeps into my bones. Ah ha..now i know how cold it is. But anyway, i got my luggage and wore those bulky winter jacket in no time. We cleared the immigration check point and walked into the Kansai Airport area.

Prior to Japan Travel

2. Agent Fee for Japan Visa: RM15
3. Travel Insurance: RM43
4. RM to Yen: RM2.95K to ¥100K

Synopsis:
I manage to buy my flight ticket to Japan using my Krysflyer Mileage claim. My housemate is kind enough to give me his mileage for the return ticket. How lucky am i. :)

As for the planning for the Japan trip, most of the information we obtain through Japan National Tourist Organization and also from Lonely Planet and travel guide books. The planning is mostly done intensively by BL.

Japan Visa application form can be retrived from the web but it has to be printed using A4 paper. Several supporting documents must be enclosed together with the application form. The supporting documents are:
01. Passport
03. Pasport size photo for visa application
04. Company letter
05. Financial proof
06. Bank statement

I paid RM15 for the travel agent (Mayflower) to help me to apply for the visa as i am lazy to go to the embassy. The visa application process only takes 3 working days. For vacation or business trip, the approved visa is only valid for 4 months.

Travel with insurance will give us peace in mind especially when travelling to country that have high medical expenses. BL brought me to Tokio Marine Insurans (M) Berhad at Menara Kobay, Jalan Rangoon.

After work on WW03, we went to change RM3K to Yen. Manage to get 100K Yen for RM2950. I also bought 1 small black pouch for RM65...Aduh!! My pocket is suffering. Howerver, i cant find any camera shop to clean my Ixus lens. Nevermind then.

Japan Travel Idea & Planning

BL informed me on WW1 that he will go to Japan for 8 days trips on WW3.5 to WW5.1. It is like 'Pucuk dicita, ulam mendatang'. I have waiting for 3 years to go to Japan. This is indeed a golden opportunity. Oh...Yeah..!!

He has spent lots of time planning and obtaining information on this Japan trip. We spend 6hrs at Queensbay's Border Starbuck to plan for the locations, transportation, and cost estimation. I was just doing the typing in the excel while he do the planning.

Just opposite to our table was a lady with Mac Laptop and SLR camera. I cant help noticing she is writing something and capturing pictures. So in my wild guess, i am sure she owned a blog. While BL went to rest room, she talked to me. Actually she been eavesdropping our conversation. She did appologized. . She did gave some pointer for the Japan trip. Good Samaritan. I got chance to ask for her blog link and she gave me. But i have forgotten her name. Typical of me to forget ppl's name...Cant blame me if i only met ppl for 1 time. She left earlier. Maybe irritated by the noisy kids beside. After that, bunch of my company staffs came, so i think thats the time to make a move out of the place.

Around 5pm, BL & I went to Gym to relax and squeeze some sweat. Hahah. Today is very mental taxing day.

New Year 2007 (Back Dated, Repost)

Today is the beginning of Year’07 and the end of Year’06. I went to Church for the New Year Eve Mass for countdown. Today's service will be different from usual. It will be incharged by the youth. The songs are mostly modern christian pop songs and the presentation are more lifely. I enjoyed much of the songs and the service as it reminded me of Capital Christian Centre. It makes me fell good and rejoice.

Today is also the launching of the much waited Holy Spirit Cathedral own website. Father Henry was given the honor to launch it on this New Year Eve. It marked the beginning of new era for us to share the good news of God’s teaching.This year I have 10 resolutions that I wish I can achieve. I wrote them down in my diary after deep thoughts. I knew that to achieve these, ones need to have strong discipline and determination.

One of the resolution is to start my own blog. To share with others my thoughts.I am sure everyone have their own resolutions. If you yet to think about it, its never too late to do it now. Happy New Year'07 and God Bless.
